# Equipment Yard

Hot-Shot equipment is checked-out work equipment. It does not become a purchased personal vehicle or an entry in a framework garage.

## Current equipment unlocks

| Equipment          | Level | Compatible current fleet |
| ------------------ | ----- | ------------------------ |
| Company work truck | 1     | 20/30/40-foot trailers   |
| 20-foot Flatbed    | 1     | Company work truck       |
| 30-foot Flatbed    | 3     | Company work truck       |
| 40-foot Flatbed    | 6     | Company work truck       |

The current catalog has one company work truck, compatible with all three flatbeds. Other trucks require explicit fleet and compatibility configuration.

Freight unlocks and equipment unlocks are separate. For example, Crated Equipment unlocks at level 3 but can use the already available 20-foot trailer.

## Check out equipment

Open the physical yard menu on foot, choose a compatible truck and trailer, and use **Check Out Rig**. Keep the area clear and vehicles empty while preparation finishes.

The Preparing state remains until equipment startup is confirmed. A failed preparation reports an error and starts cleanup. Wait for Ready before entering and hitching.

There is no automatic hitching. Individual checkout remains available, including trailer checkout from an approved personal truck. A driver has one registered garage trailer at a time.

If one vehicle is already checked out, the combined action can issue the missing compatible equipment. If trailer bays are blocked after the truck is ready, clear a bay and retry while keeping that truck.

## Return equipment

{% step %}

## Finish or cancel the active contract

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

## Park the rig

Park the rig within the yard's configured return area.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

## Stop, exit, and open the yard menu

Stop, exit, and use the physical Equipment Yard menu.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

## Return the rig

Choose **Return Rig**.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

The trailer returns first; the company truck returns once it is empty and safely clear. If the truck return fails after the trailer is stored, correct the displayed problem and retry. The missing trailer does not prevent that retry.

**Return Trailer** and **Return Truck** remain available separately. Personal trucks are never recalled through company return actions.

The current return area is a 35-metre radius around the garage menu. Company truck return also checks nearby vehicles; clear surrounding traffic if the menu reports an obstruction. Mobile dispatch cannot return equipment.

## Trailer service

With no active contract, bring your registered trailer to a configured yard service/collection bay, park, exit, and select **Service Trailer**.

Follow the work markers and complete the timed tasks. The normal checklist covers lights/coupling, left tires, right tires, and welding the frame/tie-down mounts.

Destroyed trailers use the longer 16-step rebuild checklist in the current configuration. Abandoned or interrupted work does not count as a completed repair.

Service requires the actual trailer at the yard. Use your server's towing or recovery process for an immobile trailer.

## Saved condition and restarts

Trailer condition is stored separately from the temporary checked-out entity. Returning equipment saves the relevant state. A resource/server restart does not resume an active contract or its spawned scene.

Return equipment before maintenance. Do not restart a vehicle resource while players are using its models.
