# Equipment yard

## Buy and check out equipment

The yard sells **trucks and trailers separately**. Use the Trucks, Trailers and Containers tabs. Check out a truck first, then separately check out a compatible trailer and hitch it using **J**. The Bison is always the free starter option.

Purchased ownership persists; the physical vehicles are temporary session equipment. Returning a rig does not sell it or erase ownership. Only one complete rig can be checked out per player.

### Default purchase requirements

| Equipment | Business cash | Career XP |
| ---------------------------------------- | ------------: | --------: |
| Bison pickup | Free | 0 |
| C2HD | $4,500 | 1,800 |
| C2HD BP | $4,500 | 1,800 |
| Bumper dump trailer | $13,500 | 4,000 |
| Gooseneck dump trailer | $25,500 | 7,000 |
| Roll-off trailer, includes one container | $37,500 | 10,000 |
| Additional roll-off container | $5,500 | 11,000 |

The default container limit is two for new purchases. Older larger inventories are retained. Server configuration is authoritative.

## Compatible combinations

| Truck | Trailer | Cargo spaces |
| ------- | -------------- | -----------: |
| Bison | None | 6 |
| C2HD | None | 6 |
| C2HD BP | Bumper dump | 8 |
| C2HD | Gooseneck dump | 12 |
| C2HD | Roll-off | 8 |

C2HD BP requires its compatible trailer; it is not a standalone pickup cargo option. Trailer ownership can be reused across the explicitly supported truck combinations. Job sites may further restrict the rigs they accept.

## Optional installations

| Feature | Resource names |
| ---------------- | -------------------------------------------- |
| C2HD and C2HD BP | `c2hd` |
| Bumper dump | `bumper_dump` |
| Gooseneck dump | `gooseneck_dump` |
| Roll-off work | `rolloff_simulator` |
| Machinery jobs | `skidsteer` plus a compatible roll-off setup |

Install and start only the resources you use, before `junk_removal`. Matching names alone are insufficient: compatible controller APIs are required. Missing resources, unavailable APIs, insufficient XP or missing ownership can hide or block advanced equipment.

Add-on trucks, trailers, controllers and machinery are not included with Junk Removal Simulator.

## Returning and upgrading

Between jobs, park at the depot and return the trailer to switch trailers while keeping your truck. Return the trailer before returning the truck. Disconnects, death, character changes and resource stops recall session equipment while retaining ownership.

Legacy purchases of retired trucks grant equivalent C2HD/C2HD BP equipment access without another charge or extra containers. Start `c2hd` to use the replacement vehicles. Saved editor rig selections convert on read while preserving placements. Finish or cancel saved work using a retired rig before switching.

The current supported trucks are **Bison, C2HD and C2HD BP**.
