# Trailers and specialized work

## Supported tow vehicles

Use **C2HD** for gooseneck and roll-off trailers. Use **C2HD BP** (`c2hdbp`, included in the `c2hd` resource) for the bumper dump. Its rear receiver does not support the gooseneck or roll-off pairings. For roll-off operation, the controller must allow `c2hd` in `NativeOperation.TowModels`.

## Controller requirements

Start the installed tow-vehicle and trailer resources before `junk_removal`. The previously documented 0.26.2-rc.3 bridge checks used gooseneck\_dump 1.6.2, bumper\_dump 1.3.6 and rolloff\_simulator 0.7.10. These are validation baselines, not a guarantee for arbitrary controller versions.

Roll-off work requires Job, Exchange and Handoff API v1; saved-bin recovery requires Checkpoint API v1 and rentals require Rental API v1. Resource names alone do not establish compatibility.

## Dump trailers

1. Check out a compatible rig and hitch it. Use **J** nearby or from the assigned driver's seat for controller actions.
2. At the cleanup, lower the body and open the rear doors. Carry junk to the trailer's rear loading point and press **E**.
3. Resolve any salvage recycling/discard choice before disposal.
4. At the landfill, stop the whole rig, stand nearby on foot, open the doors and fully raise the body.
5. Bulk disposal starts automatically when ready. Its normal timer is eight seconds before applicable upgrades.
6. Lower the body, close/stow equipment and secure the rig to finish the visit.

**X**, moving away, rig movement or losing equipment readiness interrupts dumping. Restore the conditions for a fresh full timer. Follow any explicit payment retry prompt after a save failure.

## Ordinary roll-off cleanups

Drop the empty dumpster onto clear, level ground at the property and open its doors. Load through the rear of the ground bin. Finish promised site services, close the doors, retrieve the bin and secure the assigned hitch.

At the landfill, fully raise the body and stand nearby on foot. Roll-off tipping opens its doors automatically. Lower and secure the empty assembly afterward. Compatible inquiry visits can retain the rig for the next customer.

## Container exchange

A container exchange is a fixed-price empty-for-full service rather than a loose-junk estimate:

1. Deliver the empty bin into the marked drop-off bay.
2. Stop the hitched rig with the controller operation complete and doors closed; delivery confirms when the placement is valid.
3. Load the separate full bin and secure it.
4. Dispose of its contents, then follow the return/close objective.

Payment requires delivery, retrieval and disposal. Wrong alignment, obstruction, unsuitable terrain, open doors or an unsecured hitch can prevent advancement. Follow the controller's specific reason.

## Container rentals

Use **Container rentals** for delivery, exchange and final collection bookings. Assignments dispatch from the depot and require owned containers and compatible roll-off equipment.

The default rental offer lasts 30 minutes, with $300 delivery pay, $300 pickup base pay and $450 exchange base pay; final charges follow the configured service/load rules. Edit `shared/rental_config.lua` for your economy.

Bookings and container locations persist. Physical bins are presented during service visits; they are not permanently spawned between visits. A booked rental reserves its bin. Once delivery is underway or a bin is delivered, the property blocks new ordinary cleanups until the rental service/reservation is cleared.

## Skid-steer work

No machinery site is deployed in the supplied catalogue. Install the compatible `skidsteer` resource and author an enabled machinery site first. Default eligibility also requires 10,000 career XP and a compatible roll-off rig.

Inspect the three piles on foot and agree on the quote. Place the roll-off bin on the ground with its rear open. Enter the supplied site machine, lower the bucket into a pile, stop and press **E** to scoop. Raise it into the rear loading marker, stop and press **E** to transfer. Each pile supplies two loads, for six total.

Default machine controls are Left Ctrl to lower and Left Shift to raise, subject to bindings. **X** interrupts an action. Exit the machine when finished, complete promised services and retrieve/dispose with the roll-off. The site machine does not become owned fleet equipment.
